Paper (PE) Coating Plant
Product Details
Cygnet Machinery has designed Extrusion Coating Machines for Paper as a specialized solution where a molten polymer is applied onto a paper substrate to impart enhanced properties such as moisture resistance, barrier protection, and improved surface characteristics. This process transforms ordinary paper into high-performance materials suitable for demanding packaging, industrial, and consumer applications.
As technology advances and sustainability becomes a global priority, Cygnet Machinery continues to innovate with extrusion coating systems that deliver efficient, reliable, and eco-friendly solutions. Our machines can be customized to meet specific requirements, offering a wide choice of polymer resins and paper substrates to support diverse applications. Each system is designed with flexibility, ensuring it can adapt to evolving market needs.
Major Components
- Single-Screw Extruder – Selected according to polymer viscosity and processing needs, it melts and pumps resin through the die to form a continuous film.
- Flat Die or T-Die – Ensures uniform polymer distribution and precise control of coating width and thickness.
- Coating Station – Applies molten polymer directly onto the paper substrate; nip rollers regulate adhesion and coating thickness, while chilling rollers immediately cool and solidify the coated surface.
- Corona Treatment Unit – Enhances surface energy of the paper to improve bonding and ensure stronger adhesion between the substrate and coating.
- Rewind System – Collects coated paper into finished rolls, with advanced tension control to maintain uniform winding and roll formation.
Benefits
- Enhanced Properties – Improves the strength, durability, moisture resistance, and barrier performance of paper, making it suitable for diverse packaging and industrial uses.
- High Productivity – A continuous process that minimizes downtime and material waste, ensuring cost-effectiveness while supporting recyclable materials for greater sustainability.
- Superior Protection – Provides an effective barrier against gases, moisture, odors, and chemicals, thereby extending product freshness and protecting contents.
- Consistent Quality – Guarantees uniform thickness and coating coverage with advanced monitoring and control systems that regulate key parameters for defect-free production.
